Description: Main-Land performed stream delineation for the Town of Rumford to determine which crossings were considered actual streams. Streams are identified by meeting certain criteria set forth by the Department of Environmental Protection. Our environmental scientists reviewed the site conditions relating to the standards and determined if the resources met those requirements.
North Haven Sustainable Housing Project

Project Name: North Haven Sustainable Housing Project
Location: North Haven, Maine
Description: Main-Land was contacted by a consulting engineer to conduct wetland delineations, vernal pool screening, stream delineation, and septic suitability on a sustainable housing project on North Haven Island. Scott Dixon, P.E., C.G., L.S.E. and Joe Stevenson, L.P.F., Wetland Scientist conducted a site visit in the compressed time frame allotted by the ferry schedule. The site features were delineated, measured, and recorded with enough time left for a cup of coffee at the ferry terminal before departure to Rockland. The site is slated for development within the next few years and will provide affordable housing options for local residents.
