STAFF ENGINEER

Main-Land has a full time position open in our engineering department for a site civil staff engineer. Licensure as a Professional Engineer with the State of Maine is not required. Work will include drafting, designing roads, commercial sites, subdivisions, utility systems, stormwater management, and all things land improvement and development. Work will also include regulatory permitting, construction documentation, bid administration, and construction administration. If you can juggle chainsaws, that would be awesome.

Position:         Full time.  Working remotely is not allowed.
Experience:   0 years minimum, Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
Hours:              8am to 5pm, with 1 hour lunch.
Signing:          Signing bonus and relocation reimbursement may be available.
Pay Range:   Competitive.  We’ll talk early about this to make sure we’re on the same page.

PROJECT ENGINEER

Main-Land has a full time position open in our engineering department for a project site civil engineer registered as a Professional Engineer with the State of Maine. Skills and experience with municipal utility engineering are a strong plus but not required. Work will include designing roads, building sites, subdivisions, utility systems, stormwater management, and all things land improvement and development. Work will also include regulatory permitting, construction documentation, bid administration, and construction administration.

If you have some computer and IT skills too, well that makes you one of those 14 point bucks: highly sought but rarely seen.  If you come interview, we promise not to send you off to the taxidermist to be displayed on our wall.

PROJECT SURVEYOR

Main-Land has a full time position open in our survey department for a project surveyor. Requirements for this position include 1-4 years experience as a licensed surveyor (or 6 or more years combined education / experience with the ability to become licensed) and knowledge of survey equipment, such as robotic total stations, data collection, GPS, AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation. Work will include project management and overseeing other survey staff on a variety of projects. This position will include both field (solo or team) and office work with an emphasis on office work.

Licensure in other states such as New Hampshire and/or Vermont or the ability to obtain a license in these states is a plus.Experience with GIS implementation/development or photogrammetry would also be a desirable asset but is not require It may also be to your advantage if you can name at least four donut shops in western Maine; bonus points if you send a picture of one.
