Description: Main-Land conducted soil test borings and provided a report of geotechnical recommendations for the Architect to use in design and for the Contractor to use during construction. To protect foundation subgrade for footing support, Main-Land recommended pre-construction groundwater drainage and compacted fill beneath all footings and floor slabs. Main-Land provided observations during early earthwork for drainage of groundwater and to confirm that foundation subgrade conditions were in accordance with the design intent and the geotechnical recommendations.

Project Name: Camp Laurel Shore Stabilization
Client: Camp Laurel
Location: Mt. Vernon, Maine
Description: Camp Laurel in Mt. Vernon had shoreline erosion issues due to foot traffic and wave forces. Main-Land designed a shore stabilization and landscape plan including designated walkways, visual buffering,and a battered granite block retaining wall. Main-Land obtained Local, State, and Federal environmental permitting and coordinated with state agencies.
